Safa Western Cape’s failure to comply with the Arbitrators award to reinstate Santos FC with immediate effect means that the province is now in contempt of the award dated on December 1st 2025.
This is the latest communication coming from Santos’ legal team, Lionel Cay Attorneys which indicated that their client has no alternative but to institute an urgent High Court application on Monday 15th December 2025 in order to compel Safa WC to comply with the arbitration award.
“However, we will not proceed with the High Court application if the Nedbank Cup fixture is received by 5pm on Saturday 13 December 2025,”
