The Golagate Scandal could still get messy before the guilty party is identified.
No Bones with Jones can confirm that the case has again been postponed with no date set for its resumption.
This comes after Electric City were due to appear at their hearing on Tuesday evening to explain their alleged involvement in the match-fixing allegations during the Third Division playoffs at the William Herbert Sports Complex last October.
”Questions about their (Electric City) legal representation being allowed arose and must now be determined,” said a source close to the case.
This is not the first time the case has been postponed and the general perception is that it has been dragging on for way too long.
In fact, jokes doing the rounds are that the case will still be pending when the new playoff campaign is set to begin in about four months or so – this is not fruitful for amateur football nor for the region as it creates the perception that they are clutching at straws.
There are some theories that nothing will come of this case while others are of the perception that it could be the case to garner the Mother body some credibility and respect.
City along with Two for Joy FC, Diadora FC, Rebels FC and West Coast United were the clubs involved when the freakish matches were reported.
It will be in the interest of all the parties involved as well as the broader football landscape if the case is wrapped up as soon as possible
