Waanie confirms Brasse now have baby-brother in ‘YMO vannie Park’

Hanover Park FC owner Rieduwaan Anthony has confirmed they have adopted YMO FC into their football family, as there are big things in the pipeline for the football fraternity, as well as the broader public in the area.

Anthony was rather cagey to divulge too much at this stage, adding that it is still “confidential.”

“But yes, YMO will be based at Hanover Park LFA,” Anthony confirmed to No Bones with Jones. “The idea is that with another franchise comes another opportunity for the youth and the young players of the area because it’s limited, you know.

“Lansur tried to get a promotion, but unfortunately, they couldn’t make it. But if you want to grow the Hanover Park LFA brand, then you need outlets for young people. So, we have, not sister but “brothered-up” with YMO in terms of resources, the venue, planning… so, we have all of that under our wing and hopefully people will see the bigger picture.

“And I already know the narrative as some will think, ‘yeah, Wanie bought another club,’ but it’s an opportunity where more kids can play the beautiful game,” Anthony added.

According to Anthony, who has confirmed that he will not be the owner, YMO will still have carte blanche to run their own show as they did in the past.

“Look, management, the owner (Mark Slingers) is still running everything under their wing…. The coaches, players are 100% still there. Mark is running everything, but they are under our brand, our sponsorships and all of those,” Anthony concluded.
