Zaheer leaves Trinnies for New(man) challenge

Former Trinitarians FC coach Zaheer Simons will in the near future be unveiled as one of the new coaches at Newmans FC.

No Bones with Jones has been informed that Simons has taken up the Head of Youth position for the under 14, 16 and 18 divisions following his recent departure from Trinnies.

Simons, who won promotion to the third Division of Safa Cape Town, as well as the Nedbank Cup regional title during his five seasons at the Northerns-based club, has established himself as one of the top young coaches in Cape Town football and it is understandable why he has been approached to spearhead the project at Newmans – which is based at the Western Cape Sport School in Kuils River.

Trinnies’ manager and former colleague Louis Blankenberg confirmed Simons’ departure to our website

“Look, Zaheer is currently busy with the winter league so for the summer league he might be available again,” Blankenberg told our website.

“I trust that… Look, he knows the club and the set-up with us you know. So, ja, we still don’t know what his final decision will be,” Blankenberg added.
