‘Pak-man’ nibbles back after murmurs of ‘Vote of No Confidence

“Are we on that level already?” asked Ian Pakoe, president of the Heideveld LFA after “murmurs” of a vote of no confidence surfaced in the LFA’s leader.

Pakoe added further: “Then they must do it, they must do it bru! I have done more things and the LFA is in a good state,” Pakoe added.

No Bones with Jones has established that concerned and unhappy members within the exco is ready to take drastic action as they feel it will be in the best interest of LFA.

The perception is that since the departure of the former president Mario Van Niekerk, the LFA’s reputation has been severely discredited and in disarray – hence it was placed under administration a couple of seasons ago.

Pakoe’s predecessor Ricardo Daniels was also ousted from the presidential hot seat after only a couple of months in charge based on alleged accountability, results, outcomes and league fixtures to the back end of the season.

It is deemed that Pakoe has a disconnect with the football and broader Heideveld community and does not have the ability or personality to galvanize the football fraternity and to take the LFA forward.

Pakoe is also described as an emotional president that does not have the ability to grab the “bull by its horns.”

Pakoe is now also being held accountable for his (emotional) decisions taken at a management meeting (MANCO) last week.

Our website understands members intend to get rid of Pakoe with all their might and as soon as possible.

This despite that a faction within the exec would like him to be given a chance as he could possible still redeem himself.

A member affiliated to the LFA who at this stage does not want to be named, said: “Look, we initially wanted him to be the vice president and to learn a few things.

“We wanted him to be on the REC and to work for us. Remember, you cannot go to the REC if you are not mandated.”

The member further explained. “Pakoe still does not want to engage with anyone due to the fact that his members went above his head after they decided that the LFA will host their Knockout final this weekend (Friday and Saturday).”
