Beach Boys bolster squad with experienced former Grassy Park stars

Camps Bay FC has been bolstered by the experienced former Grassy Park United duo of Ganief Stellenboom and Achmat Ceres.

This move could be seen as a win-win for all parties involved as Stellenboom and Ceres have not had much joy with regular game time at the ABC Motsepe League outfit, while Camps Bay on the other hand has been throwing away points due to a lack of experience in their squad.

Both Stellenboom – who is a striker that can score goals and Ceres who plays in defence – sat out the weekend’s doubleheader as they are still waiting on their player cards, but they should be available for the (home) match against Greenwood Athletic next Saturday.

Along with Taufiq Salie in goal, the Third Division outfit should have more stability and firepower to grind out positive results as they all come with Second Division experience as well.

Both Ceres and Salie are products of the now defunct Ajax Cape Town, while Stellenboom has been around the block with teams like Milano United, Cape Town All Stars, Ikapa United as well as a brief stint with Santos.

Hence, one can expect a better showing from coach Dougie Williams’ Beach Boys, as the Atlantic Seaboard club is better known in the future.
