The shortage of (young) talented goalkeepers has city rivals, Cape Town City and Cape Town Spurs, embroiled in a tug-of-war over the services of David Sodar (pictured).
No Bones with Jones has established that the 15-year-old Sonar is currently training with the young Citizens following a two-week training spell with Spurs.
Our website has been informed that Spurs are impressed with the tall goalie of Camps Bay FC and are keen to scoop up his services, while City harbours the same ambitions.
It was expected that Sodar would form part of Spurs’ ABC Motsepe League outfit as well as the Diski squad.
However, it has come to light that Sodar is still weighing up his options and was lured by City for a trial run.
Sodar has definitely caught the eye of the academy scouts and is the name on everyone’s lips – it remains to be seen who the Sodar will commit to as he is definitely one for the future!
