The Rygate LFA base in Johnston Road will play host to the remainder of Round 1 of the Playoff fixtures of the Engen Knockout Challenge on 7 April 2023.
This prestigious tournament for under-18 boys has been a hot topic of debate since it was decided that the region would take ownership of the event moving forward.
Safa Cape Town’s president Bennett Bailey said to No Bones with Jones a while back that they will run the tournament as they do with the Coke Cup
The Mother body hosted the initial round of the playoffs two weeks ago at the Strandfontein Sports Complex in Mitchells Plain which was rather poor to say the least.
The turnout was so low as the bulk of the matches scheduled did not take place for various reasons. Many clubs pitched up without the proper documentation and some did pitch up at all.
