Former Bafana Bafana midfielder Granwald Scott has put to bed his ‘retirement’ plans,
Scott, a former captain of Ajax Cape Town revealed his plans regarding his career, on social media: “Every year, the question gets louder: “When is it time to retire?”
“At 38 years soon to be 39, I get why people ask. But when I look at the pitch, I don’t feel ready to step away – I just feel incredibly grateful. I’m thankful for every professional stadium I got to play in, and just as thankful for where I am today.
“To my Saxon Rovers teammates: booking our spot in the Coke Cup finals is proof of what we can achieve together. I’m honoured to share the pitch with this squad, and I’m just enjoying every single minute I have left in the game,” Scott concluded.
Scottie and his troops are preparing for the Coke Cup final against the defending champion, Hanover Park FC at the Athlone Stadium on 17 October.
