Booysen back at Antalyaspor CT after leaving for short period

Antalyaspor Cape Town FC and its veteran captain Mario Booysen (pictured) have smoked the peace pipe and are on the same page again.

This comes after No Bones with Jones was informed that the 35-year-old Booysen left the club a couple of weeks ago as he was not satisfied with certain issues.

Our website reached out to Antalyaspor’s chairman Junstin Paulsen for comments regarding Booysen’s future but was unsuccessful.

There is still uncertainty whether Booysen will continue playing or hang up his boots. This will be a real shame if the Bonteheuwel-born defender does decide to call it quits as he has still a couple of seasons in him by the looks of it.

According to a source the lanky former Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns player has since returned to the club to take up his coach position again as he felt he could not drop the players.

“Yes, Mario is back at the club and coaching the under 18’s again,” the source told No Bones with Jones

“I am glad sanity prevailed as Mario has lots to offer, on and off the field. So, ja, we are glad he is back,” said the source.
