Zizwe United is in the process of selling its Second Division status to Turfloop FC.
No Bones with Jones has been reliably informed that Turfloop has already paid a deposit with the balance to be settled in the coming days and the two parties hope to conclude the deal by next week.
However, Zizwe’s manager Mike Siheke (pictured) has refuted this news adding he is not aware of any sale.
“Your source is misleading,” Siheke said.
This is contrary to what our website has also established regarding some of Zizwe’s (senior) players who have sought greener pastures at clubs like Ubuntu, while others are still on the lookout for a contract.
A source close to Zizwe also informed our website that the sale is looking “like a definite”.
Turfloop, originally from Limpopo in Polokwane has meanwhile also already begun their recruitment and scouting process which indicates that they could be part of the ABC Motsepe campaign for the 2023/’24 season.
Furthermore, they already played a friendly against Ubuntu FC where they were thrashed by 10-0. With the season a few weeks away it is clear that the potential ABC Motsepe newbie has lots of work ahead.
Turfloop, the Limpopo-based consortium, made headlines a few seasons ago when they struck a partnership with Wanderers FC from the Langa LFA.
This was after the latter bought Glendene United’s Second Division status. Unfortunately this venture between Turfloop and Wanderers didn’t take off as expected.
It seems that Turfloop are eager to expand their footprint with a second attempt to own a Second Division status in the Mother City.
