Safa Cape Town gets its own BT Academy investigation under way

Firstly, one cannot help but laugh at the opportunistic nature of the Cape’s football Mother Body, Safa Cape Town.

They have hush-hush put together a committee to investigate the BT Academy tour scandal to Spain that went horribly wrong – and this while there is still a major decision regarding the Wayne Weitz-saga weighing heavily on the organisation. This saga has been going on for more than a year now.

It’s like Safa CT is playing ‘God’ by deciding who gets the chop and who stays. It is time that this organisation gets its priorities straight.

Anyway, No Bones with Jones can confirm that the region will on Sunday (24 August) further its investigation when four of the coaches (Jesse Julius, Clayton Levendal, Keeno Damons and Jayvin Chrisholm) will be interviewed by a panel consisting of three members in Zolani Malibeni, Martin Julie and Mr. Monray Polman at the Sarepta Sport and Recreation Centre in Kuils River.

Our website can confirm that Safa CT also extended an invitation to BT Academy’s boss Brandon Timmie who has since not confirmed his availability following interviews with some parents on Saturday morning.

Interestingly enough, the latter member, Polman from the Northerns LFA was some time back assigned to another DC committee involving the Weitz-case but has asked to be recused from this investigation – even wonder why?
