Safa CT deliberately hid letter of motion of no confidence in Delft LFA boss to get him re-elected – Bailey ‘s vote now secure, or is it?

Safa Cape Town has this tendency of priding itself on its ‘transparency,’ ‘accountability,’ and ‘good governance’– for no apparent reason.

Just have a look whenever Safa CT releases a statement… It’s actually quite peculiar that an organisation has to constantly convince itself of standard practice.

But what is being proclaimed and what is really enforced within the region’s operations speaks of an organisation where hypocrisy and injustice are the order of the day – and where their own constitution gets raped and only used when it suits them.

Now, the Delft LFA held its elections on Sunday, where its president, Ebrahiem Jattiem, was re-elected unopposed for a third term – and from the outside, it looked all legit and kosher.

However, that is clearly not the case. One wonders why those very same principles of ‘transparency’ and ‘accountability’ were not upheld when Safa CT deliberately remained silent for several weeks, choosing not to divulge the letter (attached below) – a motion of no confidence in Jattiem’s executive – to its members.

To think the letter was sent to the Mother body on 9 February 2026 already and very few LFA’s had any knowledge about it.

In this letter, which contains the signatures of four clubs, Delft FC, Delft Spurs FC, Symphony United, KVDK and Lion Killers, the clubs expressed and listed their reasons and concerns for a change in Jattiem and his executive at the LFA – but this information, unfortunately, was never made public.

Furthermore, it’s alleged that the AGM was conducted despite the many discrepancies such as no financial reports. Another concern was that new members were elected to the executive, without having served the minimum of four years which is required for any candidate to be eligible.

But then again, this is to be expected as the elections are around the corner and it’s time for the sporting ‘mafia’ to run amok where lies, deceit and foul play, become the order of the day. Yes, it all makes sense now why this was not brought to the attention of its constituents and members, as it would have derailed their plans.

It’s also very simple. Jattiem is known to be a lackey of the Safa CT president, Bennett Bailey, who is also vying for a third term. Pure coincidence? Not at all because with Jattiem back in the seat, Bailey has his vote – or so he thinks?

One also wonders what other skeletons are hiding in Safa CT’s closet? Let’s wait and see!
