Rygate LFA has taken a stance with a zero-tolerance social media policy regarding any of their members bringing the organization into disrepute.
That is why this football association situated in Johnston Road, Rylands, has set a precedent by suspending one of the union’s most prolific strikers in Hazendal United’s Ameen Awaldien (pictured) for breaching this policy.
Rygate LFA, under the leadership of Abdul Tajoodien, has apparently been left with no alternative but to send an official letter to Awaldien’s Hazendal United club dated 13 June 2015 which confirms his suspension.
Tajoodien became the first president in the 101 year history of this organisation to suspend a player in this way.
Our website is in possession of a copy (below) whereby Tajoodien’s organization stipulates (with evidence) as to why they took this drastic step.
The way one can interpret the letter is that it’s not the first time that Awaldien has found himself in hot water with the LFA.
“He (Awaldien) will appear on Monday and we’ve informed them (Hazendal), so they are fully aware,” Tajoodien stated to No Bones with Jones. “We appeal to our members not to engage with these faceless pages on social media but rather engage us. They know here at Rygate we have an open door policy,” he added.
Meanwhile, Hazendal’s Chairman Nazrudien Begg has declined the right to reply regarding the matter.
For the record, Silver Spurs and Hazendal played out to a 1-1 stalemate over the weekend and a repeat of this fixture is on the cards again as they square up in the Coke Cup fixture this weekend.
Bear in mind that Awaldien is also a former Silver Spurs player – he left the Silvertown-based club two years ago.
