“Time to come clean,” says Kruger on MPLFA-breakaway-saga

Gilbert Kruger, president of the Mitchells Plain LFA (MPLFA) says he wants to wrap up the dispute with Tafelzucht FC as it is “dragging on for too long.”

The MPLFA’s DC has set down 6 November for the matter to be heard which involves Tafelzucht’s chairman Kenny Hendricks along with his other co-accused Ismail Du Toit (Westridge FC), Dion Warner (Cedar Park), Granville Solomons (Red Rovers), Nino Solomons, (Rock-A-fellas) and Gerald Cookson (Kenpark United).

Hendricks, who has since been suspended, and his co-accused will be given an opportunity to “come clean” for their alleged respective roles in the potential breakaway LFA which was allegedly orchestrated by Hendricks.

Gilbert explains: “I certainly hope that when we meet on the night with the representatives of Tafelzucht that the matter can be resolved on the very same night and not drag on for too long.

“I hope that what we have investigated and presented is not going to be challenged in any way by where we have to further investigate and investigate and then prove people wrong.

“I think there is more than enough facts on the table that says yes the club has been involved in this matter and all the individuals that has been involved in this matter and

“I just hope they come come clean so that we can resolve the matter in whichever way and move on by engaging one another and promoting football and getting our LFA to where it was once before,” said Gilbert.

The MPLFA boss further stated that there are plans in the pipeline to take the organisations to newer heights.

“We obviously want to build with all the clubs and make sure that things are in place  and we have great ideas for next year which we have already started to work on. So we want to make the organisation one of the strongest if not the strongest like it has been before and even better.

“So, we don’t want this matter to obviously hold us back and I certainly hope that everyone that comes is not going to defend themselves in a way that they haven’t done this and that and the other…but rather put their cards on the table so that we can have a clear way forward and take everybody along with us,” Kruger concluded.
