All eyes will be on Safa Cape Town’s Congress Meeting, where a new electoral committee will be elected at the uNiversity of the Western Cape (UWC) on Sunday.
It’s been rumoured that the region’s president, Bennett Bailey, has approached cronies to oppose the nominations submitted by Langa a few weeks ago in another desperate attempt to nullify Eric Gum’s nomination – and this way Bailey ensures that he stands unopposed.
No Bones with Jones contacted two of the nominees, Stevie Williams, president of the Western Cape Federation Legends, who came across proud and flattered with the nomination by Bailey.
Williams pointed out that he’s there for the right reasons and justice – yeah, right! The obvious question which comes to mind is – Why does the leader of an organization like the Fed Legends have to get caught up in politics?
Is their core function not to support the heroes of yesteryear who are struggling in life or battling with health and financial issues?
Getting embroiled in politics should be the last thing on Williams’ agenda, which makes one really wonder about his reasons. But we all know what Williams is after, and that will be revealed at a later stage.
Williams suggested, not in so many words, that he was probably selected because of his fairness and that he stands for justice! Yeah, right, we know the ulterior motives!
About the second candidate, who asked to keep his identity anonymous at this stage to avoid reprisal.
The candidate revealed to No Bones with Jones. “I can honestly say that I had absolutely no knowledge of my nomination as no one approached me. Someone sent me the list and I was really surprised,” the anonymous candidate concluded.
Now, such is the nature of Bailey that he completely wants to eliminate any threat to his throne! Why? If the snorting Buffalo is that popular and done so many wonders over his two terms, then why fear Gum?
Furthermore, Bailey might have influenced the first electoral process, but his luck has now run out and he is in for a surprise if he thinks that he can repeat his shenanigans on Sunday.
The levels of deception and manipulation from the boss of football in the Metropole is beyond comprehension.
I mean, if Bailey did such a sterling job as his ‘Buffalo Files’ proclaims, which was released by Rygate LFA, then why go through such extraordinary lengths to pull in individuals into his web of deception and lies – Is Gum’s threat really that unsettling?
